Bottlenose Brewing is a relatively new Brewery located on Deer Lake Court, just off of Southside Boulevard on the Southside of Jacksonville. It recently opened back in April of 2017, in a building that formerly housed World of Beer. It was founded and is currently owned by Mark Stillman, who is also a managing partner of another local brewery, Green Room Brewing, in Jacksonville Beach. Bottlenose is new to the Jacksonville craft brewery scene, but it sets itself apart from other breweries in the city with its very large selection of local beers to choose from and its commitment to showcasing what local Florida craft breweries have to offer. Their taproom boasts 50 varieties of beers on tap, as well as several varieties of canned and bottled beers available for purchase, most of which are craft beers produced in local Florida breweries.
Bottlenose Brewing largely emits the energy a good old-fashioned All-American bar. With multiple large TVs placed around the room playing all manner of sports, an impressive bar food menu, a staff that’s both upbeat and knowledgeable about their beer, games to keep you occupied, and a pet-friendly outdoor patio, you’re sure to have a good time when you choose to spend your night at Bottlenose. Garage-style doors circulate fresh air through the tap room, creating a cool, open atmosphere. And if you came for the beer, you’ll stay for the food. Bottlenose offers a modest menu of burgers, sandwiches, chicken, and an assortment of fried appetizers. There are also a lot of great options for loaded fries, that one-of-a-kind side dish which seems to perfectly compliment a craft beer. The food is prepared from scratch and is always delivered fresh and fast.
Bottlenose Brewing offers a wide selection of beers on tap. They have 50 taps, in fact, behind the bar. There are a number of their original Bottlenose brews, as well as a ton of taps showcasing guest beers from breweries around Florida. If you’re looking to try some of Bottlenose’s original beers, don’t go looking for any fancy names or labels. Most of the Bottlenose original brews are simply labeled by what kind of beer they are, such as the Brown Ale, the Golden Ale, their house IPA, and their Session IPA. Besides these, there are a lot of other options to choose from, so be sure to get a flight and try several different original Bottlenose beers. Besides their own brand of beer, they also carry a rotating tap list of guest beers from all over Florida and a few selections from out of state breweries. Here, you’ll find beers from local Florida breweries Aardwolf Brewing Company, Engine 15 Brewing Co, Swamp Head Brewery, M.I.A. Beer Co, and many more.
They always have some kind of special going on at Bottlenose Brewing, and their Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 3pm to 7pm, with $1 off all draft beer and wine. They hold a fun pop culture Trivia game every Tuesday as well starting at 7:30pm, which is especially popular. With a relaxing outdoor patio and a humorously giant Jenga game to keep you and your friends occupied for hours, Bottlenose is a great hangout spot to relax, watch the game, enjoy a plate of loaded beer cheese fries, and enjoy some of Florida’s best original craft beers. With its affordable, tasty beer and its laid-back attitude, it’s a really fun and lively place where you’ll never run out of something new to try. Despite the youth of the brewery, their commitment to showcasing the best local beers that Florida has to offer and their own expertly brewed creations prove that Bottlenose Brewing is one of the top breweries in Jacksonville.
